While you are super excited about the holiday season, your pet dog is excited too. While you prepare ham, turkey and other delicious savories for the holiday month, your pet also has an urge of hogging on good food. You can bake some good holiday treats for your dog. Hogging on to good food can spell holidaying as fun for your pet too. Here are a 3 holiday recipe ideas for your pet dogs. Give them delicious treats to let them enjoy the holidaying season.

1. Tasty Nibbles
3 cups whole-wheat flour
1 cups white flour
2 tbsp honey
1/2 cup coarsely chopped peanuts
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp nutmeg
1 tbsp baking powder
2 3/4 cups water
1/4 cup unsweetened chunky applesauce
1 egg, slightly beaten
Preheat the oven by setting the oven temperature to 350 degree Fahrenheit. In a mixing bowl combine honey, flour, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg together nicely. Add water, apple sauce and egg in the end and stir well. Add nuts in the end and fold it slightly. Spoon this mixture into a greased muffin tin or tray lined with greased butter paper. Bake it until lightly browned. Cool on a rack and store in sealed container. This makes a delightful dessert if your dog has a carving for sweet-meats.
2. Festive Holiday Cookies
3 cups whole-wheat flour
1 cup white flour
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 1/4 cups water
1/2 cup chunky peanut butter
1/2 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats1/4 cup chopped peanuts
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and combine applesauce, egg, peanut butter, vanilla and water in a large bowl. Add flours, corn meal, oats and peanuts and mix well. Now knead the dough until the ingredients are thoroughly mixed together. Roll it out into1/4 inch thick layer and cut it out in the shapes required. Place it on the greased baking sheet and bake for 45 minutes until lightly browned.
3. New Year Delights
3 cups whole-wheat flour
1 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup unsweetened chunky applesauce
2 tbsp honey
2 3/4 cups water
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/8 tsp vanilla
1 cup dried apple chips
1 tbsp baking powder1 tbsp cinnamon and nutmeg powder
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Take a large mixing bowl, add honey, water, applesauce, vanilla and egg and blend. Add the dry flour, cinnamon, apple chips, nutmeg and baking powder, mix nicely, and see that all the dry mixture is used up. Spoon the mixture into greased muffin pans and bake for 1 hour or until lightly browned. These can be cooled and stored in an airtight container.
