1. Turtles

One could not think in their weirdest of dreams that these cute-looking little creatures could provide any kind of harm to anybody. But as a matter of fact, these small turtles carry salmonella which could be unhealthy and harmful to be kept in the house as pets. Baby turtles are more likely to harm little kids as they get attracted to their cute, appealing looks and end up infecting themselves by putting their fingers in their mouth after touching and coming in contact with these small animals. Looks can thus be deceptive and land you and your family in deep trouble. However, not all turtles are said to be having salmonella but you would not know whether the one being tamed in your house is the harmless one or the harmful one.

2. Constrictors

These generally seem an obvious choice for exotic pet lovers due to their appealing and admiring looks and the attractive color of their skin. Known as the red tailed boa, these constrictors may look very beautiful and harmless, but only when small. They are believed to grow extremely fast, attaining great lengths in size and are known to escape quite often when fully grown, which might prove fatal for your neighborhood. They often feed on rabbits, dogs and cats but once fully-grown, they crave to be back to their original homes, the woods.

Their temperament can be highly unpredictable at times which can land you in a soup. Being highly violent by nature, they can be quite deceptive by their cute looks.

4. Kinkajou

Also known as sugar bears, these tiny creatures are featured by having small furry bodies and big buggy eyes. It seems like a combination of a hamster, a squirrel and a chinchilla. They might be dashingly cute, but this quality can turn fatal at any unpredictable time. However, some of its tamers believe that if you know the right ways of handling this animal, it can never cause you trouble, but for someone who is new to the field, opting for such risk does not prove a sensible idea. Kinkajous have a history of attacking mostly their owners if not bred nicely or looked-after properly.

5. Ostrich

These flightless birds are chosen by pet lovers because of their weird and awkward looks. They have the tendency of digging and hiding their heads in the ground and they look extremely cute while doing so, but they can take you for a ride as they are believed to be very active and great runners, thereby making you end up being on your toes and on the move and exhausting you completely.
