Why is my American hairless terrier afraid of other dogs?

I have an American hairless terrier that I have had since she was a just a puppy. Soon I am taking her to the place where she was born and there are a lot of the other dogs there. But the problem is that she seems to be afraid of other dogs besides the one that live here. Whenever I am taking her for a walk she tries to go in the other direction the moment she sees any other dog. It is becoming a very huge problem. Why is my American hairless terrier afraid of other dogs? What can I do about it? How can I socialize my two year old American hairless terrier? Can somebody help? I would really appreciate your views regarding this. Thanks.

The American hairless terrier is just a puppy, as mentioned by you, in the question. And how can you expect a pup to be fearless. They happen to have certain inhibitions toward strangers and large breed dogs. And as you have already mentioned in your question that the doggie goes the other way when she sees other doggies, this might be the case due to lack of socialization.

What I would want you, as a pet master; to do is that you have to impart proper socialization training to your American hairless terrier since they have to adjust in the society. So the best place to start with the doggie training would be dog gardens where they will be forced to interact with other pets in the dog gardens due to their copious existence. It will take some time for the doggie pet of yours to get accustomed, but socialization is always a slow process. I really hope the information which has been provided to you in this section would be helpful to you.
