Seven animals you shouldn't keep as pet
Having a pet of your own is not just a mere activity that you do as a pastime. Neither is just a hobby or a sigh for companionship. For most people their pets are their life, pretty close to having children of their own. But that experience can turn into a nightmare by choosing a wrong pet. In a desire to go for an exotics pet, many people opt for wild animals. Animals that is simply impossible to domesticate. Here is a list of seven such animals that you should never adopt as pets.

1. Reptiles
Reptiles are potentially very dangerous. They are among the most difficult to domesticate. Their habits, life cycle and the potential threat they impose, simply makes them unsuitable to as pets. Ranging from snakes to python, Comodo dragon to big lizards, the list of dangers is endless. They are scary foe your kids and can be a potential threat to the existence of your other pets.
2. Primates
Biologically they are the most similar to us. Their DNA, body structure and even sleep cycles are very similar to that of humans, but that is where the similarities end. No matter how much you are impressed by the intelligence of primates, they are equally capable of wreaking havoc in your dream house. Monkeys are known to be very hostile to new people and new surroundings. They will live up to as much as 20 to 40 years and would be in constant need of your attention.
3. Big cats
Tigers, lions, leopards and cheetah are the very synonym of the wild. No discover documentary or safari is complete without their sight. If you really wish to adopt a big cat as a pet think again. Lions are not meant to roam around in streets; they are a grave threat to people around you. Their behavior is so volatile that they have known to attack their master or owner. Plus, you need special permission from your local government to have a carnivore as a pet. Housing them is another headache that must be avoided at all costs.
4. Raccoons
They require inordinate amount of attention and caring. Raccoons are known to be very playful and curious. In case they are denied proper care, they can easily become very dangerous.
5. Foxes
Foxes have numerous varieties and it is true that are some are easy to domesticate than others. Like, Fennec Foxes, they are small and look habitable. But their wild behavior becomes more and more prominent as they grow up.
6. Skunks
Apart from the bad smell, skunks are also known to create havoc in small places. If you have a tree in your garden, then you might be able to handle them. But otherwise, people who live in apartments or small homes find it impossible to deal with a skunk.
7. Honeybears
They are more commonly known as Kinkajous. Their diet and other habits is not much of a problem. They are known to inflict a nasty bite or two. On sanitation department too, they are known to be very messy.
