How do you get your cat and dog through crate training?

I have two cats and a dog and need to get them through with crate training. I have not been able to succeed do far. I cannot understand how I go about it. What can be done in order to get them into the crate? Should I hire a trainer or would I be able to do it on my own? Give me the best tips you can for this training.

These are some of the suggested ways for your dog's or cat's crate training.

  1. Please fill up the crate with the pieces of biscuits or kibble. This is because while searching through the crate, your pet will discover this. It will be happy and interested to stay in the crate. You can also feed your pet inside the crate to retain his interest in the crate and make it comfortable inside the crate. You can also inoculate your pet into this habit by feeding it in front of the crate, then by feeding it inside its door and at length at the back of it.
  2. Initially, you encourage and praise your dog or cat when it enters inside the crate. Do not engage forceful methods. Try to lure it by inducing methods. In the night, keep the pet inside the pet inside the crate and close its doors. Keep the crate in the night either inside the kitchen or near you bed.
  3. You may create this enjoyable game for your pet; just throw one biscuit or some cake and ask your dog to get it from the crate. Gradually this will make your pet move inside the crate and search for food.Tell the pet to get the biscuit from its room. Engage an encouraging voice. This will gradually make it acquainted with the idea that the crate is his place. in this game, later you can throw your pet's toy or ball to make him aquainted with it.
  4. You should put your pet inside crate for short periods while you are in your room. This gives the idea to your pet that like your room the crate is his room. Thus it creates its association with the crate.
  5. But very young cats or dogs less than 9 weeks of age should be put inside the crate. They must be more than 4 months old.
