Are there any dog cages that won’t harm my dog’s paws when he scratches?

Whenever I go to school I have to keep my dog in a dog cage. If I won’t, he would ransack the whole house. But when I keep him in the cage he starts to scratch the cage door and in the process he harms his paws. So I want help from you guys out there. Are there any dog cages that won’t harm my dog’s paws when he scratches? Or is there anything else that I can do? Please recommend. I hope to hear soon from your side. Thanks.
