I feel really sorry for your Yellow Lab. The scratching and itchiness can become a pressing issue for your Lab, if it is happening in excess. No, the solution that you have mentioned to free your pug puppy from itching by brushing him a lot will only make the itching worse, since the rule with itching is the more you itch, the more bad it gets. Now, I have not heard of any food which can give your doggie pal coat less allergic. What I would suggest you is, get the Balsam which your pet has recommended is nice for repelling allergies as it is a kind of conditioner which has to be applied on the coat of the doggie after it has taken bath with a Kw shampoo. The Balsam needs to be left on the coat of the dog for two minutes and then washed.
Make sure to impart your pet pal a protein rich diet which will always help you to make the coat of the doggie thick and will help in making the allergies less harsh, but it is always advisable to treat the allergies by administering some proper medication like, Antihist-I, Chorl-Trimeton.
