Dogs training tips for ‘roll over’!

I want to train my dog to do some basic steps. I want simple dog training tips and I would appreciate if you guys helped me out. I can’t seem to find anything that would suit my dog. I can only say one thing he is the world’s most stubborn Doberman and lab cross bred dog I have come across. He has more traits of the lab than a dober. Everything I do or try to teach him, he does the absolute opposite. I have been trying to teach him to roll over. I do and when I ask him to give the right paw he will insist on giving his left and vice-versa. Can you give me some dogs training tips on this please? He is 1 year and 6 months old. Is it too late to teach him?

The best thing which I can possibly understand at this point of time is, take anything which your pet loves, like any sort of stuff toy or something like that and make it roll in the pattern you want your doggie friend to roll. It really will help you in the best possible manner. I have done this thing in the past and it has really worked wonders for me.

I have a yellow lab and needed to impart him the training to roll on the ground, what I did at first was, roll myself which helped the yellow lab puppy to imitate me. Then once he was done with imitating me while rolling on the ground, I used to shower love and treats over him. This in turn helped the basic fact to get conditioned that if the doggie will roll on the ground then he will get some treats and love from his pet owner. And once the fact gets conditioned then on your single command, the doggie will roll on the floor. I hope the information helps you in the best possible manner.
