I have a yellow lab and needed to impart him the training to roll on the ground, what I did at first was, roll myself which helped the yellow lab puppy to imitate me. Then once he was done with imitating me while rolling on the ground, I used to shower love and treats over him. This in turn helped the basic fact to get conditioned that if the doggie will roll on the ground then he will get some treats and love from his pet owner.
