Elementary training is necessary for cats
Training of a pet is important. Many people, especially, those who are dealing with pets from a long time don't consider training as an important or rather an inevitable thing. Well, it has its own significance and generally has a great impact on the behavior of the animal. It also helps in bridging proper understanding between the pet and their owners. Training not only contributes to their well being but also stimulates and enhances their mental abilities. Moreover, animals that have social exposure are more stable, confident and content. Training keep their minds occupied and lead them to constructive things. Cats are not like dogs. And some special focus must be given to them.

Start the training at an early age and don't ignore any indecent behavior by them.
We mostly pay attention to an animal when they misbehave. So, they (especially cats) seek misbehaving as a device to a get attention. Pay them attention even when they are calm and silent.
Set some rules for them. For example, the eating time, the place must remain consistent. If some guests drop at your place, don't break those rules for them too.
Cats need their own territory and you should not restrict them in any ways.
Cats are good learners. So, if they react badly or unfavorably don't punish them. React in a way that annoys them. Yes, that is the only solution to deal with them. This will induce manners in them. You can either clap or make sudden noises.
Don't punish them as that would only make them fear you. They seek you as playmates, act as one.
Keep those breakable, costly, dangerous items out of their reach. Remember, cats are curious.
