Fireworks spell trouble for pets

I don't think the pet care leaflets, Fireworks and Pet Safety and Pet Safety Outdoors, introduced by PDSA, will serve any purpose. Just leaflets are not enough to stop people from celebrating with fireworks, which can prove hazardous to pets. Why only pets, they are even dangerous for us, as they cause so much of air and sound pollution. A major effort is required to educate people in this respect.

The owners have to understand that the noise of fireworks can shock a pet and leave him frightened. It is a known fact that animals can also hear sounds, which even human ears cannot perceive. The owners should also get their pets micro-chipped immediately, for they may get lost due to the shock and distress. Read More>>
