Flying can be bad for pets too!

After smoking it's the pets. Air Canada has prohibited the entry of nearly all animals in the aircraft cabins saying. The reason being, the allergies caused by them to the on board passengers. Dr. Donald Stark said "We have to give priority to human health over animal health.'

Mostly animals are accepted in the passenger cabin. However, they are asked to be confined to a carrier small enough to fit under the seat or in the cargo hold. Some airlines like US Airways and Jet Blue Airways take pets only in the cabin but not in the cargo. Some airlines do have services for them. However, Southwest Airlines doesn't take pets inside.

According to the airline officials the goal of the ban is to propose an allergy-free atmosphere. As for the allergy-prone people, they should carry antihistamines, inhalers and other medications with them, even if they haven't had an attack in years. If you are traveling in an airline which allows pets look for them. Don't hesitate to ask them to be moved if they're too close to you.

Moreover, flying, especially as cargo can be hard on pets too. They are not only separated from their owners but are also exposed to an unfamiliar environment. This could actually stress an animal. It is advisable not to carry especially short nosed animals such as a Persian cat, boxer or pug. Because, short-nosed animals are more vulnerable to breathing problems under extreme temperatures and cargo holds are likely to have more extreme temperatures.
