Help your bird acclimatize with new environ

Melt down the stressful experience of the bird while welcoming him to a new location. Better do some home work first. Keep the cage ready. Research thoroughly all his needs, such as, food, temperature comfortability, eating habits and cage type and size.

Make sure to provide sufficient supply of water for the bird and that too in their reach, since they may be frightened and find it difficult to locate the water source at the new location. Don't try to introduce any type of food he is alien to. Keep giving him food he was accustomed to till now and slowly change the food as per his nutritional requirements.

Give your new bird some quiet time to explore the new surroundings. Increase the cage temperature, if you notice loose droppings, as they are common signs of panic and stress. Heat can be increased by covering the cage with towel and add a heat source such as light or heating pad. Though time is the best healer, still your bird needs your companionship too.
