IN FOCUS: Ginny - the one-dog rescue party for cats
At the Westchester Cat Show in White Plains, New York, November 19 and 20, Ginny, a Schnauzer-Siberian husky mix, will be eulogized. Ginny, named Cat of the Year in 1998 for her knack and gallantry in finding and rescuing endangered tabbies, died in August at age 17 after a long career as a one-dog rescue party for cats on Long Island's South Shore. Ginny saved countless cats during her unmatched brave lifetime.

Apart form being named the Cat of the Year, Ginny has many colorful feathers adoring her cap:
