Obesity can kill dogs
Obesity is killing your dog. Yes, as per a recent survey, 81 per cent of 200 animal physiotherapists mentioned that obesity as the major danger hovering over our dogs lives. It's not them, it's us. When, though being health conscious, we can't check our watering tongues, it's impossible to expect some mercy from us for our dogs that are ever ready to gobble up whatever trash we give them.

Almost 50 per cent of the dogs are carrying that killing extra flab. The chubby skin which we love to massage is the storehouse of most of the diseases. The most significant contributing factor is the owner's lifestyle. Too much of junk food and no physical involvement has made things out of control for dogs. Obesity give rise to problems related with digestive system, heart function, immune system and other hidden diseases, which are not easy to diagnose in an obese dog.
Jo Spear, from the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy, said: "Owners must ensure their pets don't receive the gift of unwanted kilos."
Exercising is must. Even walking with your dog can create wonders in both the dog and the owner's health by cutting the extra hanging flab.
