Pat your pooch online

All the best to researchers at the Interaction and Entertainment Research Centre of Singapore's Nanyang Technological University, (NTU), for making efforts to find ways to transmit the sense of touch over the internet. Soon we'll be patting our pets online.

The system uses a web camera and a pet jacket. With the help of sensory jacket and the camera the owner can monitor his pet on his computer and pat him by transferring signals through a touch sensitive model of the animal, which are read by the jacket on the pet's back.

The system is very easy to operate and along with keeping an eye on your dog you can give him hugs whenever he is stressed or need attention.
