Pets may be allowed back in schools

Barbara "Bobbie" Granato, the second-grade well-known award wining teacher of Charles Wright School, Wethersfield, Connecticut, can soon continue with her innovative style of teaching, i.e. taking help of her stock of small pets, that too right into the classroom.

It's appreciable that the school board has shown faith and recognized the spark that animals can provide amongst students to trigger the learning process. The board is planning to reverse the ban on bringing pets in school, which was brought in force citing safety reasons.

The main aim of educational institutions - to provide learning and inculcate the spirit of enquiry amongst pupil - must not be hampered and new scientific methods must be introduced, allowing strengthening of the whole education system. Read More>>
