Stamps too go to the dogs in China

The year 2006 has really gone to the dogs here in Asia. China has decided to commemorate the 'Year of the Dog' in an incredible fashion. Yesterday a set of dog stamps were issued to kick off the special year, though the main celebrations will be on January 29.

16 world-famous dogs are portrayed on the stamps with their names and brief description. Even "Year of the Dog" postcards are issued by China Post. This phenomenon should percolate to other cultures too around the world.
