Summer precautions for your pet

Warm temperatures coupled with high humidity can pose a risk of heat-related illness to your pet.
As precautionary measures, the animal should avoid strenuous activity during the hottest part of the day.
A weight loss of more than 2 pounds or a temperature above 99 degrees Fahrenheit should be reported to the vet.
Move your pet to an air-conditioned environment during the hottest part of the day.
A conscious effort should be made to drink more fluids to avoid dehydration.
