But some species of exotic pets like the larger ones (lions, tigers, elephants etc) definitely need special care and conditions or even go up to the height of getting a caretaker for it. Costs will vary according to which pet you choose. Some pets require a license whose terms vary from country to country. The prospective buyer can either contact a dealer or an association of the ownership of exotic pets to get the terms clarified. One can keep as many varieties of exotic pets together. It is often a good idea to know the living conditions, feeding habits and behavioural patterns of a species before you get it as an exotic pet. Make sure that its living conditions can be provided by you. Even vetenary care for an exotic pet can be higher than usual. But they do provide a glamour statement and if they are your passion, you can live it by keeping them close.
