Ferrets are like kittens for their whole lives. They want to play with everything and have to have 2 hours at least of playtime every single day. You have to ferret-proof the house. They will chew on wires. They are also expensive to own. Usually ferrets cost anywhere from approximately 100-200 dollars alone and they need a pretty large cage to climb and roam around, a two story cage is preferred. It will cost you pretty much for the pet, the cage, the food, the treats, a bed litter box, litter water bottle, leash etc. They are not aggresive at all, always happy and playful. Ferrets are very fun pets but they smell (they have a gland and theres really nothing you can do about it...even if removed they still have that urine smell). They have a tendency to steal and hide things, they can hide and get to pretty much anywhere and everywhere they like because of how they are built, they are extremely agile and flexible. But they are very messy. You have to take them to the vet to be sprayed or neutered and recieve a check up as well as flea treatment and the vaccines. Also, you will probably have to buy an odour neutralizer that goes in their water. It can be very expensive. They make good pets as long as you can take care of them and have enough time to play with them. They need attention and need to keep busy. All the best.
