What is the best flea treatment for cats?

Recently I have realized that my one year old female cat has a flea problem developing. I think it is at an early stage of larva or so because she seems like nothing has affected her. She eats properly and mostly happy and excited. I want to know from the people whether flea is treatable since it is in early stage. I also want to know what would be the best flea treatment for my cat. Can someone help? I would really appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

The problem of fleas in cats is quite common. An effective control of fleas on your pet should be inculcated in all stages of its life cycle. There are medications available to control the problem of fleas. You need to ensure that you carefully read the package instructions. Be very careful while purchasing the products. It is known that cats are very sensitive to drugs and chemicals. The various methods that you can adopt for flea treatment includes:

1. Flea shampoos: It is a shampoo which first attack on fleas for the pets. A flea shampoo is not intended for lasting control. It is a short term method and stays effective for a very short span.

2. Dips: It is a kind of chemical rinses. It must be used if strongly recommended. Dips last approximately 1-2 weeks. I would like you to know that flea shampoos and dips are effective for adult fleas.

3. Flea collars: It is also known to work for approximately two days. They emit toxic gases which gets absorbed into the animal's subcutaneous fat layer. Flea collars are effective for adult fleas.

4. Flea powders and sprays: Flea powders and sprays offer short term protection from fleas. Generally, it is effective for adult fleas.

5. Spot on treatments: These treatments work great. Make sure that you consult with your veterinarian for the best choice for your pet.
