Is it a good idea to have a pet dog and two pet cats at the same time?

I am not yet sure as to which dog to buy. I already own two cats, one is an American longhair cat and the other is Birman cat. They are both about a year old. I just do not want them attacking the pup at any cost. Which dog can sustain these two cats around? What are the reasons one must not have a pup at this time. Frankly my two cats have a moody behavior and they care about nothing. They are not even scared of dogs. They have a mind of their own. They will do things at their own time. Please help!

As far as I am concerned the Sami dog breed also known as Samoyed dog breed is really good and will have the patience and the nature to accompany two cats which are pets of the house. The sami needs to be trained effectively and should be imparted with high levels of socialization classes.

Now, you have to train your doggie pal if you want it to live in the presence of the kitty. First of all be biased, if the dog will know that you are showing inordinate love to the kitty then it is bound to piss him off. I know it will be hard to not over care the kitty considering its age, but still don’t let the doggie be alone. If the doggie pal does something bad to the kitty then you should shout loudly – “no!” which will help the Sami to be afraid. Being dominant is also one thing which you have to adopt as a pet master over the Sami and make sure that you do not end up pampering the kitties which will worsen the situation. I really hope the information provided is helpful.
