Havanese Puppies

Hello everyone out there! I'm planning to gift a havanese puppy to my sister on her birthday as she is very fond of this particular breed of dogs. But before gifting her the dog I want to gather all the information regarding the havanese puppies. So any one out there or any dogs expert, please provide me with the details such as the housing conditions, life expectamcy, height, weight this dog can grow upto and the diet and exercise routines of this dog. It would be appreciable if you can provde me with the health problems related to this breed and precautions to be taken to avoid these problems. Please reply soon. Thanks!

A full grown Havanese is 8-11 inches(20-28 cm) in height and 7-13 pounds(3-6 kg) in weight. They live for about fourteen to fifteen years. Havanese are good for apartment life. They are very active indoors and will do okay without a yard. Havanese are born to live in your home, and not in a patio or a kennel. but at the same time, they require plenty of exercise. This is a very healthy long-lived breed, however, all long-lived breeds eventually have health problems. Some are prone to hip dysplasia, PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy), poodle eye, Juvenile heritable cataracts, luxating patellas, Chonrdodyplasia, Patellar Luxation (dislocated knee caps), Legg-Calve Perthes Disease, unilateral and bilateral deafness and dry skin. They are very affectionate and playful with a high degree of intelligence. Blue Buffalo is the best of any dog food for quite a few reasons. It's top ingredient is meat, it has no by products, no wheat, and no corn. It also has fruits and vegetables. With eukanuba you get 10 more lbs for the same price, but they have a lot of wheat and corn and most of the meats are by products. It's the same with just about every other dry dog food out there. You are going to have to do some research and decide for yourself. I will say that you get all the tips and suggestions from the vet that is the best you can do for the puppies. Hope this helps.
