How to make oat ‘n’ apple chewies for your horse

Oat ‘n’ apple chewies are one of the healthiest food items that you can give to your horse. This food is full of nutrient and will also provide sufficient strength to your lovely pony. Here is a recipe for oat ‘n’ apple chewies. Follow the instructions below to make this simple wholesome food and offer to your pony as they will surely like it.

Time taken: 30 minutes


1. One and a half cup of unsweetened applesauce

2. One cup oat bran, cereal or ground oatmeal

3. Half cup all-purpose flour (approximately)


Preheat the oven at about 350 F.

Then oil a 9″ x 9″ square cake pan in such a way that the whole surface of the pan is evenly oiled in a proper manner.

Next mix all the above mentioned ingredients in a bowl and spread evenly over the cake pan.

After this it is to be baked for approximately 20-30 minutes keeping the temperature in an optimum level.

Then the batter will be easy to touch as soon as it starts to shrink away.

After this, take a kitchen knife by which the squares are to be sliced. The squares are to be made when they are still warm.

The chewies are to be kept in the refrigerator in an airtight container bag. Care should be taken so that the chewies remain fresh and clean as long as they are kept in the refrigerator.


It should be kept in mind that this treat should not be offered to the horse quite frequently. It should be given to them twice or thrice a week at maximum.
