Vintage bird cages for my grandmother.

You know how grandmothers can be right? So thinking of an old elegant lady could you help me find out where I could vintage looking elegant bird cages from? I need to first see some pictures; if I take a picture to a great carpenter would he be able to make it. I wanted to get a carving done on it which would have my grandmother’s name. So can you give me some links to the best bird cage pictures? I need at least 2 big sizes of bird cages.

Its a great idea to surprise your grandmother with an ancient bird cage! I would suggest you to go for it without a doubt. In fact put in some birds inside it too; ones that she likes. Bird cages have to be big and spacious, depending on the kind of bird you want to shelter within it. If it is only to be used as a show piece, then that should not be a concern. Skilled carpenters can easily build you a bird cage if you provide them with a precise demand. Cages can be made out of wire mesh or even bamboo sticks. The later ones are more comfortable for the birds, in any case though. Yet, going to a carpenter could cost you even more if you do not know the right pricing for these products. They might cheat you over some task or the other.

I would suggest buying one from www.birdcages.com! You can easily find one within a range of $90-$300. You can preview the pictures before buying and they have a huge collection of all ancient type bird cages–Egyptian, Chinese, etc. Yet, if you want more pictures, you can look up to google images. But it may be uncertain whether you will get the one you like there or not. At the above mentioned site, they are all for sale.
