Does anyone know anything about water proofing of leather dog collars?

My fiancé and I take our dog to the lake for hours a day during the weekends. I just bought a new expensive leather collar for my dog and was wondering if it is safe for the leather to be in water constantly. Should I take the leather collars off before swimming time? Will the leather dog collars be safe and healthy? Can someone tell me about the water proofing of leather dog collars? I would really appreciate your views regarding this. Thanks.

I can understand your concern for the safety of your dog. I present before you facts that can make you understand the exact concept of water proof leather dog collars. The best part is that these can be customized and yet remain stylish. As the collars are made of leather, they are supposed to be a100% waterproof. It won’t harbour odour producing bacteria and germs. Apart from being safe and healthy it is quite convenient to maintain. It is easy to clean and glides easily over dog's hair without pulling them. It runs on the perfect blend of fashion and function. It would surely allow your dog to do what it does best, have fun and get dirty too. It is created from a special blend of polymers. It won’t absorb moisture, retain dirt, or harbour bacteria. It would be a great substitute for those that smell like an old sponge. You simply need to rinse under warm water and they remain new forever. I hope that now you can easily decide on it.
